Jimmy Kimmel To Host White House Correspondents' Dinner
Jimmy Kimmel will headline the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner next April, Deadline reports. The host of ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live follows in the footsteps of fellow comedians Wanda Sykes, Jay Leno and last year’s host Seth Meyers.
The dinner is traditionally attended by the President, First Lady, other government officials and members of the press. Good-natured jokes are exchanged between various journalists and officials, providing for a humorous time. Proceeds of the 2012 dinner will fund scholarships for aspiring journalists.
This will be the 98th White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, and it will take place on April 28.
