Listen to a New Black Star Song

On Black Friday, legendary rappers Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) unveiled their newest collaboration as the duo Black Star: “You Already Knew,” a track inspired by and dedicated to Aretha Franklin and produced by hip-hop artist OhNo.

Though it’s not the first new Black Star track to drop — recent single “Fix Up,” which was debuted live on The Colbert Report more than a month ago, was just recently released for purchase via iTunes — it is the first new free track from the emcees. You can download it from Black Star’s website upon supplying an email address, or you can stream it below:
