Pitchfork points out that Duane Bruce, an alum of the Boston radio station WFNX, has posted a previously unreleased Nirvana concert that took place right before the release of Nevermind. The set was originally released through The Boston Phoenix website.
“Depending on who you ask, there were somewhere between 60 and 75 people in attendance,” Phoenix editor Carly Carioli said about the show.
The concert was recorded at Man Ray in Cambridge, Mass., on April 18, 1990. The set is heavy on the band’s debut LP Bleach, but it does have two songs from Nevermind tracks — “Breed” and “In Bloom.” There are also four b-sides that are played in the concert — “Dive,” “Stain,” “Been A Son,” and “Molly’s Lips,” — all of which appear on the compilation album Incesticide.
You can take a listen to the concert below.

Ah yes. Behold, Millennials, peer into the mists of time to a semi-legendary era when young and upcoming bands played something called rock and fucking roll. Kurt, we need you more than ever today.
They are talking about 2 separate shows and confusing them. The ManRay show was about 18 mos. prior to the release of Nevermind. There is another posting that I did of a show at Axis in Boston (WFNX 8th Birthday)that was held the night before the release of Nevermind. just wanted to set the record straight. DB
