Listen to Erin McKeown’s Anti-Holiday Album

With less than two months till Christmas, it’s time to get ready for the always-cheery holidays. Time to trim the tree, set the stockings by the chimney and wait for Santa to bring the presents. Unless you’re Erin McKeown that is.

McKeown just released her newest “anti-holiday” album online, entitled F*ck That!. The album is available for streaming at her website and available for download. Also available is the hymnal, which includes lyrics for family sing-alongs (don’t listen with your family), cut-out beards and other surprises.

Her website offers the best possible description of the album:

“’F*ck That!’ is the antidote to all that annoying holiday spirit. It’s the world’s first anti-capitalist, pro-queer, suspicious of Christmas-as-patriotism, sex-positive, not safe for work, multi-ethnic, radical leftist Anti-Holiday record. There is nothing redeeming about Christmas in any of these 10 songs. Please note this album contains adult language and themes completely inappropriate for children. On purpose.”

With tracks like “Santa Is An Asshole” and “It’s a Very Queer Christmas,” it’s easy to not expect the normal holiday experience.

McKeown will also be airing her “Cabin Fever Holiday Spectacular” through UStream on Dec. 18 at 6 p.m., just in time for the holidays.

Download or stream McKeown’s F*ck That! now through her website.
