Louis C.K. To Broadcast Upcoming Comedy Concert Online

Comedian Louis C.K. announced last night on Conan that one of his upcoming shows at the Beacon Theater in Manhattan will be taped and broadcast on his website, where users can view the routine for $5.

Speaking about the pricing and the distribution, the comedian said “It’s not going to be on HBO, Netflix, iTunes, or anything, I’m paying for it with the ticket money from the people that bought tickets. I won’t really make any money but it’s more fun that way.”

Louis will be performing and broadcasting the show on Nov. 12. Despite striking out into new territory with this live internet comedy broadcast, he’s still not a big fan of social media in general. Speaking to Conan, he stated “I kind of hate it. I think it’s awful. I have Twitter so that I can just tell people what I want them to buy and give me money.”
