Marc Buckland, NBC Agree To Two Projects

NBC’s mission to return as king of the networks continues as the Peacock recently bought two projects from Marc Buckland, Deadline reports. The producer-director is under a two-year development deal with Universal Television (previously NBC-Universal) and has developed a comedy and a drama.

The comedy, RIP, is about a man who recently died, but since he was such a jerk to everyone around him he is forced to return to earth and do good deeds. State of Mind, the drama, centers on a forensic psychologist who solves crimes by getting inside the minds of the victims while slowly losing his own sense of reality.

Buckland recently directed the pilot of NBC’s Grimm and will now focus on writing and developing the pilots for next season.
