Miles Davis Biopic Finds Director
For years Don Cheadle has been trying to get his biopic of Miles Davis, which he plans on starring in, off the ground. Now another film about the jazz legend may be getting in the way of his plans.
George Tillman Jr., who directed the Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious and last year’s Faster will be directing the film, now known as Miles. The film will be based on the book Dark Magus: The Jekyll and Hyde Life of Miles Davis, with a script being written by Isaac Ferguson.
Davis’ son Gregory has stated that the film will not be a sugarcoated telling of the musician’s life. Whether or not this will have any change on the status of Cheadle’s film is yet to be seen.
