Consequence of Sound reported today that New Order will release a compilation of outtakes from their last release, 2005’s Waiting for the Siren’s Call.
The site also points out that although there hasn’t been an official word from the band on the release, which will be titled Lost Sirens, the compilation has turned up on international record retailer websites, including the Japanese Amazon.com and RecordShopPX.com.
As previously reported, the release of the tracks were controversial among New Order members, with bassist Peter Hook stating that he would like to see the tracks released as a stand-alone album.
The site also pointed out that seven of the eight tracks that appear on the album were unreleased, with the exception being “Hellbent,” which appeared on New Order’s recent greatest hits album, Total.

2 - Sugarcane
3 - Recoil
4 - Californian Grass (Doomy)
5 - Hellbent
