Radiohead, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver Nominated for Uncut Music Award

Each year since 2008, Uncut Magazine has nominated an artist whose album is, in its view, “the most inspiring and richly rewarding album of the last 12 months.” Past winners included Fleet Foxes, Tinariwen and Paul Weller.

Now this year’s award’s shortlist has been announced, and Fleet Foxes have once again been nominated, along with Radiohead, Bon Iver, Paul Simon, PJ Harvey and more.

The final album will be selected from the shortlist, which includes eight albums selected by a panel of judges helmed by Uncut editor Allan Jones. The official results will be published in the Nov. 27 issue of Uncut Magazine.

The shortlist for the 2011 Uncut Music Award is as follows (listed alphabetically):

Bill Callahan — Apocalypse
Bon Iver — Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Fleet Foxes — Helplessness Blues
PJ Harvey — Let England Shake
Josh T. Pearson — Last of the Country Gentlemen
Radiohead — The King of Limbs
Paul Simon — So Beautiful or So What
Gillian Welch — The Harrow and the Harvest
