Ricky Gervais To Host Golden Globes

We’ve reported on the “will he/won’t he” questions surrounding Ricky Gervais possibly hosting the Golden Globes for the third straight year for months now, and it looks like The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who hosts the event, has finally made a decision. The organization tweeted earlier today [Wednesday] that he will in fact go for the trilogy.

The announcement was short and simple: “Ricky Gervais will host the 69th Golden Globe Awards on January 15, 2012.”

It looks like he’ll have another chance to drunkenly make jokes and provide the award show with some of the best hosting skills it had seen in years.
