Singer-songwriter Rosie Thomas will release her first full-length album in four years. The album, titled With Love, will be released on Feb. 14 on Sing-A-Long Records.
With Love features a lot of guest appearances, including spots from former Pedro the Lion frontman David Bazan, Sam Beam of Iron & Wine, Blake Wescott—who has worked with the Posies and Pedro the Lion—and Jen Wood, who has recorded with The Postal Service. Members of Sufjan Stevens’ band will also appear on the album.
The album reflects on Thomas’ battle with a thyroid disorder, which the songwriter fought for two years.
“I woke up one morning, and the sun shined in the window, and I didn’t mind,” Rosie said about recovering. “The birds chirped and I thought they were singing for me. The world felt like it was back on my side again or vice versa, and I finally fit in again.”
Thomas will celebrate the album’s release with a Christmas show at the Triple Door in Seattle on Dec. 13. The show will be Thomas’ first in two years.
