Showtime Renews Weeds for Eighth Season
Earlier today Showtime announced the renewal of Jenji Kohan’s offbeat pot-themed suburban dramedy Weeds. Given season seven’s dramatic cliffhanger ending, we’re not surprised.
The action jumped ahead three years last season, with Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) being released from prison and fighting for custody of her son. The season wrapped up with a bang—literally—as an unknown gunman fired into the Botwin household. Season 8 will consist of 13 episodes and air sometime in 2012.
