The xx Working On New Album

With the countless remixes and covers, it feels like the English band The xx are already an institution in the indie music scene. The band announced today on their Facebook that they have begun working on the follow-up to their excellent self-titled debut album from 2009.

Furthermore, The xx have started a blog that will give us some behind-the-scenes coverage of the recording process (as well as “inspirations + pictures + favourite songs”). No details on proposed release dates or songs yet, but this is definitely good news considering we haven’t heard much from the band in a while.
