During Common’s recent trip to Haiti, the rapper-actor filmed the music video for “Sweet” but also put together a documentary. The footage compiled was created for CNN and focuses on Haitian children forced into slavery.
Dreams is part of CNN’s Freedom Project, which aims to end modern-day slavery. You can watch the documentary in its entirety at the project’s site, or view it below.

I am going to Haiti again in a few days to do work there for about two weeks. In reading my google news alerts on Haiti, I came across this article mentioned below:
Has anyone read Time Magazine's (a partner/affiliate of CNN) latest Special Edition publication entitled "Your Brain: A User's Guide" (2011), a 127-page magazine with an assortment of articles pertaining to the human brain, memory, and the like. Check out the article on page 90, "Race and the Raging Brain", particularly page 93, where Time writer/editor Jeffrey Kluger states seemingly factual, "Africans, similarly, were brutes by nature and might actually benefit from the discipline slavery provided." Notice the tense even? "...might actually benefit..."
The above remark in this Time Magazine article is shameful, and if this information can get to the artist I think he should be aware of it...as Time Magazine and CNN are displayed as partner/affiliates at the bottom of their (Time's)website.
