After eight seasons and much deliberation of whether or not a follow-up movie would occur, plans are underway to have the 24 movie start shooting this spring.
The film version of the popular Fox show has already been written by Billy Ray, who has also written the screenplay for State of Play and the upcoming The Hunger Games. The script is currently being tweaked by Mark Bomback, who wrote Live Free or Die Hard and The Wolverine.
Tony Scott was attached to direct the film but has dropped out, with there being five potential directors lined up to possibly take over. Brian Grazer, producer of the TV show will be working on the film, and of course Kiefer Sutherland will be reprising his role of Jack Bauer.
