It looks like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will expand to Hollywood next year. Universal Studios and Warner Bros. will spend $200 million to build a second version of the theme park that opened in Orlando.
The attraction is part of the larger Islands of Adventure and has been a huge success since opening its doors in June of 2010. A specific location for the new Wizarding World has yet to be decided. Universal Studios Hollywood, the most likely candidate, is immensely smaller than Islands of Adventure, but it is likely that older attractions will be demolished to make way for Harry Potter and the gang.
Variety reports that a 2015 opening date is currently being eyed, but chances are they will push that forward if possible.
