Oscars Live Action Short Film Short List Announced

As the Oscars get closer and closer, many of the categories are getting narrowed down further and further. The latest category to release its short list is the live action short, which has been skimmed down to 10 from the 107 films in contention.

From these 10, the Academy will narrow the list down to three to five nominees. The finalists will be announced with the rest of the nominees on the morning of Jan. 24, 2012 and the winner will be presented the award at the Academy Awards on Feb. 26, 2012.

The 10 films on the shortlist are the following:

Love at First Sight
Pentecost
Raju
The Road Home
The Roar of the Sea
Sailcloth
The Shore
Time Freak
