Dark Knight Rises Prologue Tickets Released Through Viral Campaign

Dark Knight Rises Prologue Tickets Released Through Viral Campaign

Tickets were released this afternoon through a viral campaign for early screenings of The Dark Knight Rises’s prologue. Locations for the viewings, which appear to be in IMAX, were released through the film’s website and operationearlybird.com.

The viral marketing campaign kicked off for The Dark Knight Rises yesterday when @thefirerises, the same Twitter profile that revealed pictures of Tom Hardy as Bane, released a censored official-looking document, MTV reported. The document led to OperationEarlyBird.com, which was running a clock that would expire today at 1 p.m. EST.

When the site eventually went live (it took around 15 minutes before it was accessible), a voice read off coordinates to a map that could be accessed through thedarkknightrises.com. The coordinates, once unlocked, led to passes to upcoming screeners of the prologue to the film. The viewings of the prologue all take place on Dec. 13 at 10 p.m.

You can check out Operation Early Bird here, and see if there are tickets to viewings in your town left.
