GamePro Magazine To Shut Down After 22 Years

One of video game journalism’s most popular magazines, GamePro, will be closing up shop after 22 years.

GamePro has recently undergone a massive design change, hired a new vice president and with their October 2011 issue, switched from monthly to quarterly, which only lasted one month. The current issue on stands will be the final issue in print. Gamepro.com will no longer exist, as stated in a banner at the top of Gamepro.com which reads:

Thank you for your loyalty, support, and participation in the GamePro.com community. At noon on December 5, 2011, the U.S. version of GamePro online will shut down as an independent site. GamePro will become part of PCWorld.com (http://www.pcworld.com/gamepro) offering gaming news, reviews, and how-tos from the PCWorld team. Thank you to the entire GamePro staff for their hard work and dedication.
