Electronic artist Four Tet recently teamed up with Blonde Redhead singer/guitarist/bassist Kazu Makino and contributed an all-new original song to her upcoming compilation album, We Are the Works in Progress, due out Jan. 10.
The compilation features Four Tet’s newest song, “Moma,” as its first track. It’s an organic-sounding, subtle mood piece driven by melodic percussion. Aside from his song, the album includes songs by artists such as Deerhunter, Interpol, Liars, Pantha du Prince and, of course, Blonde Redhead.
All proceeds from We Are the Works in Progress will go toward the Japan Society Earthquake Relief Fund and Architecture for Humanity. Four Tet’s “Moma” has been made available for streaming in the meantime, which you can check out below:
