Matador announced yesterday a limited edition 7" subscription series that will start in early 2012. The title of the series is Singles Going Home Alone, and it will feature six singles over the course of the year.
The first single is one that’s been rumored for a while. It will feature tracks from Los Angeles hair-rockers L.A. Guns and Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. Malkmus and his band will cover L.A. Guns’ “Wheels of Fire” and L.A. Guns will cover Malkmus’ “Gorgeous George” from this year’s Mirror Traffic. OBN IIIs and The Men will also be featured on the series, and Matador will announce the full line-up for the series later.
The subscription is $45 in the U.S., $55 in Canada and $70 everywhere else in the world. You can check out Singles Going Home Alone at Matador’s website.
