The Ting Tings Announce New Album, Release Music Video

The Ting Tings announced today details behind their sophomore album, Sounds From Nowheresville, which is out in March 2012 on Columbia Records. This will be their follow-up to 2008’s successful We Started Nothing.

The new album was recorded in southern Spain and was inspired by Beastie Boys’ classic Paul’s Boutique, which a press release said changed the way the duo of Jules De Martino and Katie White looked at music. This comes after the band wrote and recorded an album in East Berlin and eventually ended up scrapping it.

The first single from the album is called “Hang It Up,” which you can see the video for below. It features the band in karate get ups in the middle of a skatepark. You can take a look at the video for “Hang It Up” below.
