Ticketmaster to Offer Refunds Starting in 2012

Yahoo! Finance has reported that Ticketmaster will start refunding money after a court ruled that the company profited off of overcharged processing fees since Oct. 1999 that they never declared they were receiving.

Before you get too excited, the refund is only for $1.50 per ticket and only up to 17 orders. Those who purchased rushed delivery via UPS are entitled up to an additional $5.00 per order.

If you bought a ticket anytime in the last decade, you should receive your refund starting sometime after April 2012, but don’t expect cold hard cash. Ticketmaster is sending out vouchers that will only be able to be used on their own website.

Despite the lawsuit, Ticketmaster can still profit off of the processing fees as along as they claim they are doing so.
