Watch the Trailer For HBO's Luck

After this week’s shocking season finale of Boardwalk Empire (you can find our review here) HBO treated viewers to the pilot episode of its next epic drama, Luck.

Set in the seedy world of horse racing, the series, which makes its official debut Jan. 29, stars and is executive produced by Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman. The series also stars Nick Nolte as part of a top-notch ensemble cast and was created by David Milch, best known for creating HBO’s Western drama Deadwood.

The pilot, directed by Michael Mann, introduces viewers to a slew of characters centered around a horse racing track. Found at the middle of this is Chester “Ace” Bernstein (Hoffman), fresh out of jail and looking to risk it all again.
