Coachella Announces 2012 Dates

Hey all you Indio desert fans, it’s time to start gathering your camping gear and cut-offs and allow yourself to indulge in the knowing that Coachella has released its dates.

It pleases us to announce that the festival has adopted a “Jazz Fest” approach to its scheduling: For the first time ever, Coachella has added a second weekend. That means twice as much sun, tunes, and chances to get out to California for one of the leading festivals in the United States.

Last year headliners included Kings of Leon, The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, The Black Keys, and Animal Collective with the accompaniment of a hundred other lovely bands.

Get your pens ready; here are the dates.

Coachella Weekend One – April 13 – 15
Coachella Weekend Two – April 20 – 22

Because April feels oh-so-far away, here’s a little something to get your mouth wet: The Strokes’ live performance from last year’s festival.
