Now that Norah Jones’ side project, The Little Willies, just released their second album earlier this month, the singer can focus on her solo material again.
Changing influences completely—from country homage to cutting-edge—Jones has teamed up with Danger Mouse, a.k.a. Brian Burton, for her next record, Little Broken Hearts. Her fifth full-length album will be released this spring via Blue Note/EMI.
Not only did Danger Mouse produce Jones’ forthcoming LP, but he also co-wrote and performed much of the music. Apparently, Little Broken Hearts was recorded last year in Los Angeles after Jones contributed vocals to Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s Rome collaboration last year.
Though Jones has only confirmed two live shows: June 29 at the Kodak Hall at Eastman Theater in Rochester, N.Y., and Aug. 10 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, she is expected to tour more this summer in support of Little Broken Hearts.
