Death Cab For Cutie Announces Spring Tour With Orchestra

After returning from a jaunt to Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, Death Cab For Cutie will launch a unique North American tour in April. Members of the San Francisco-based ensemble the Magik*Magik Orchestra, will accompany the alternative quartet to a number of intimate venues and historic theaters across the States and Canada this spring.

The Magik*Magik Orchestra, who have previously worked with artists like Mike Patton, John Vanderslice, The Walkmen, and The Dodos, also did all of the string arrangements on Death Cab’s current release, the Grammy-nominated Codes and Keys.

As Death Cab singer Ben Gibbard just Tweeted, “Excited to play w/ the Magik*Magik Orchestra this spring! Expect older tunes never played live + recent stuff, all w/ killer arrangements.”
