Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen Announces Solo EP

Daniel Rossen, singer and multi-instrumentalist for the psychedelic-tinged indie outfit Grizzly Bear, has announced the tracklisting for his first totally solo EP.

Well, not totally solo, actually. While Rossen composed all five songs for his Silent Hour/Golden Mile EP by himself, he enlisted the help of Scott Hirsch on the lap steel, Ian Davis and Kris Nolte on horn arrangements, and Dr. Dog’s Eric Slick on drums for the last track.

This project is not Rossen’s first work outside Grizzly Bear. Department of Eagles, his collaboration with NYU college roommate Fred Nicolaus, has released two albums, including 2008’s In Ear Park.

The Silent Hour/Golden Mile EP will be released via Warp Records on March 20. Check out the tracklisting and lead single “Saint Nothing” below.

Silent Hour/Golden Mile

2. Silent Song

3. Return To Form
