Al Green Sales Increase After Obama Sings "Let's Stay Together"

Just ask Obama to plug you on national television.

Then, when your request has been met, sit back with your American flag and watch the cash roll in.

We recently gave you the Awesome video of the President singing an Al Green tune at a fundraiser last week, and in the following eight days, the “Let’s Stay Together” star has reportedly been met with a pleasant sales increase.

According to Billboard, the 1972 hit made a sales increase of 490 percent. Let’s also mention the 45-second YouTube footage has been viewed more than 4.2 million times.

With the song totaling 16,000 downloads on Jan. 22, it has become the track’s best-selling week ever since SoundScan started recording digital sales.
