Keb Mo Already Considering Follow-up to The Reflection

Even though Keb Mo’s Grammy-nominated album, The Reflection, only came out a little more than five months ago, the soulful blues guitarist is already planning ahead for his next album.

After a five-year gap between The Reflection and 2006’s Suitcase (with the exception of 2009’s live album, Live and Mo’), Keb Mo told Billboard that he didn’t want to wait that long between recording studio albums again. He said, “I want to get right on it…I want to come right on out with something really cool.”

Keb Mo, or Kevin Moore as he’s also known, noted that he might bring in another perspective in the studio for this yet untitled new record, since he produced The Reflection by himself. Mo also hinted that the next album might also revisit some older folk and blues influences.

The Reflection, which features guest appearances by Vince Gill, India.Arie, Dave Koz and others is available now through Mo’s own Yolabelle records. Keb Mo is currently touring in support of The Reflection and the schedule can be found on his website.
