Loudon Wainwright III Announces New Album Older Than My Old Man Now

The 65-year-old, Grammy award-winning Loudon Wainwright III will release his 22nd album, Older Than My Old Man Now, on April 17 via 2nd Story Sound Records. Featuring 15 new, original songs, Wainwright took personal, lyrical, and musical inspiration from his family.

Older Than My Old Man Now revolves around the idea that Wainwright is now older than his father (the famous LIFE Magazine columnist Loudon Wainwright Jr.). And continuing the generational tradition, all four of Loudon’s children—Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Lucy Wainwright Roche and Lexie Kelly Wainwrigh—and two of their three mothers—Suzzy Roche and Ritamarie Kelly—contributed to Older Than My Old Man Now.

Wainwright has already announced one show in New York City at Town Hall on May 18 in support of the new album and more spring tour dates will be announced soon.
