Surviving Monty Python Members to Reunite for Film
Appearances of the Monty Python comedy troupe have been a rarity since Graham Chapman’s death in 1989. However, the troupe has a new project in the works that would reunite all of the five surviving members.
Variety reports that John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin are planning a project called Absolutely Anything. It will be a hybrid live-action/CG sci-fi farce where the Monty Python crew is a group of aliens who give the human the ability to do absolutely anything to see how crazy things get.
Monty member Terry Jones will direct the film that he helped co-write with Gavin Scott over the past 20 years. Jones was the co-director of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and was the sole director of Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life.
