Refused Announce, Detail Reunion
“We feel that you deserve it and we hope the feeling is mutual.”
As it turns out, they’re not dead quite yet. Refused, the same explosive punk band behind The Shape of Punk to Come, has reunited for at least two shows, the Coachella line up revealed last night.
But the band also released a statement about the reunion, and it’s sounding like the band’s Coachella reunion might be a short-lived thing.
The reasoning is the lack of touring behind their last, and best album, The Shape of Punk to Come and band members simply wanting to play again.
“We never did The Shape of Punk to Come justice back when it came out, too tangled up in petty internal bickering to really focus on the job," a statement on the band’s website said. “And suddenly there’s this possibility to do it like it was intended. We wanna do it over, do it right For the people who’ve kept the music alive through the years, but also for our own sakes.”
The band also revealed that they would be performing at the Way Out Festival in Sweden, which you can check out here.
You can take a look at the band’s full statement over at their website and check back later for more updates.
