Black Lips to Headline Debut SI Swimsuit Issue Music Festival

We’re not really sure where the overlap in interest lays between hipster-dominated indie music and Sports Illustrated’s 2012 Swimsuit Issue. And yet, the sports magazine just announced its first Beauties & Beats Fest in Las Vegas, a musical complement to its yearly near-naked special.

The Black Lips will headline the two-day fest, joined by bands like Delta Spirit, Elan Atias & White Elephant, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Little Hurricane, Maluca, Nick Waterhouse, Vonnegutt, Selebrities and White Denim.

The free and non-ticketed (but 21+) Beauties & Beats Fest will take place at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Feb. 15-16, with performances taking place between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. And in typical SI fashion, swimsuit models will be stageside during all performances.
