Glee Creator's New NBC Comedy Lands Justin Bartha As Lead

Ryan Murphy, mastermind behind Nip/Tuck, Glee and American Horror Story, has teamed with Ali Adler (co-executive producer of Chuck, No Ordinary Family, Glee) to create a new single camera comedy about an unconventional family, Deadline reports.

The New Normal has been picked up by NBC and just landed National Treasure and The Hangover star Justin Bartha as the lead. Scottish actress Georgia King signed on and will make her U.S. television debut. Bartha will star as one half of a gay couple with Andrew Rannals, while King will play a woman who becomes a surrogate for the couple. Two more characters, a gynecologist and a waitress strapped for cash are also part of the main cast, but no actors are attached to the roles.
