J.J. Abrams keeps churning out high-concept sci-fi dramas one right after another, and this time it’s an NBC pilot called Revolution. The new show was picked up last September by the network for a pilot commitment, and now the project has a director in big-budget action film guru Jon Favreau, according to Deadline.
Favreau, perhaps best known for taking the helm of the first two Iron Man films, is set to direct the pilot of the action drama where all forms of energy all of a sudden vanish. The project will be written by Abrams co-producer Eric Kripke, who also created Supernatural.
The director will also direct a pilot he has written for CBS entitled Tweaked.
