Listen to a New Rufus Wainwright Song, "Out of the Game"

After an album announcement, a new single and scheduling a four-date tour, Rufus Wainwright is still teasing his new album, Out of the Game. Today comes a long clip of the album’s title track, which was released through Mark Ronson’s Tumblr.

The track is a bit grittier than the first taste of Out of the Game, the piano-led “Montauk.” But an impressive lead vocal and smart instrumentation prove that “Out of the Game” is undeniably a Wainwright track.

Out of the Game will be released May 1 through Decca Records and includes appearances from Wilco’s Nels Cline, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner and Sean Lennon.
