Missy Elliott Will Release First New Album in Seven Years This June

Hip-hop’s favorite daughter, rapper Missy Elliott, will release her first album in seven years this June, entitled Block Party. As Timbaland, her frequent collaborator and fellow Virginia native, told MTV News that both stars plan on dropping new LPs this spring.

Missy has kept busy since 2005’s The Cookbook, having written songs and produced for artists like Keyshia Cole, Monica and Jazmine Sullivan and recently contributed to projects with Timbaland, Demi Lovato and J. Cole.
