Jim James Solo Album Expected This Year

Jim James of My Morning Jacket is working on a solo album, the songwriter revealed in an interview with Paste. Although few details on the album are known, a spokesperson for James expects the album will be out later this year.

This would be James’ first extended solo release since his 2009 EP as Yim Yames, Tribute To, which paid tribute to George Harrison. James also appeared on a recent tribute to Woody Guthrie titled New Multitudes, which you can read about in our most recent mPlayer issue.
