Beyoncé certainly isn’t a one-hit wonder, but she’ll play one in a film written and directed by Glee’s Ryan Murphy after Sony Pictures purchased rights to his One Hit Wonders.
The “Single Ladies” singer will star as a down-and-out singer who hit it big in the ‘90s alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Andy Samberg. All of the one-hit wonders decide it’s best to form a pop supergroup. Samberg’s Lonely Island is rumored to be creating the music for the film.
The script, which isn’t written just yet, will also be written with fellow Glee writers Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan.
