Watch Bon Iver’s New Video for “Towers”

Bonnie Bear isn’t through with you. In fact, he’s barely started. Fresh off Grammy awards and mock-SNL appearances, indie superstar Bon Iver has released a new video for “Towers,” off last year’s coveted self-titled sophomore release.

Directed by NABIL, the epic video is a true collaboration between artist and filmmaker. As Nabil Elderkin stated, “When Justin [Vernon] sent me a breakdown of what certain parts/lines of the song meant to him I did my best to decode it and curate into something simple, and hopefully the viewer can take from it their own feeling of what the towers represent.”

Elderkin also noted that “Towers” was shot mostly on Native American-preserved land in Washington state, and the video features the moving work of an actor named Mystic.

A 12” single for “Towers” will be released via Jagjaguar on March 6, including the John Prine cover and B-side, “Bruised Orange (Chain of Sorrow)” Preorder the single here and check out the video below.
