Women Guitarist Christopher Reimer: 1986-2012

Canada’s National Post reported today that Christopher Reimer, a guitarist for Women, died in his sleep Tuesday. The band — which released two albums since their 2007 formation, Public Strain and Women, to critical acclaim— has been on hiatus since a messy 2010 onstage fight. Reimer also played with The Dodos in 2011.

No cause of death has been reported so far, but check back later for updates as they emerge. Reimer and The Dodos were kind enough to stop by the Paste office last fall, and you can watch a video from that session here.
