Bloc Party Sign to Frenchkiss Records

Kele Okereke, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of indie rockers Bloc Party, revealed today that the band has signed to Frenchkiss Records. Okereke posted a message on the band’s website stating that the signing “has made Bloc Party very happy because not only do we know and love the people at this label but we know and love this label’s output.”

Bloc Party’s latest release, Intimacy, was released on Wichita Recordings in 2008, but the quartet has been working on their fourth full length while eyeing a late 2012 release. Frenchkiss said in a tweet that more details about the signing are to come later.
