Bob Dylan Working on 35th Studio Album
David Hidalgo, multi-instrumentalist for Los Lobos, has revealed that Bob Dylan is currently recording his 35th studio album. Hidalgo told The Aspen Times that he helped the nearly 71 years old musical legend record and produce tracks in Jackson Browne’s Los Angeles studio and introduced him to a number of Latin American instruments, such as the Mexican tres guitar.
While Hidalgo didn’t give many details about the album itself, he did note that, “it was a great experience” and as usual for Dylan, to expect the unexpected.
Dylan’s last studio album, Christmas in the Heart was released in 2009 and Amnesty International released a massive compilation album dedicated to him earlier this year.
