David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust Gets 40th Anniversary Remaster

In honor of the 40th anniversary of The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, EMI is set to release remastered editions in various forms on June 5.

The Ziggy Stardust reissue will be available on CD and 180-gram vinyl. Additionally, the vinyl record comes with DVD that features a 5.1 stereo mix with four previously unreleased tracks—Scott’s mixes of “Moonage Daydream (instrumental),” “The Supermen,” “Velvet Goldmine” and “Sweet Head.”

RCA Victor first pressed the album on June 6, 1972. Co-produced by Bowie himself and Ken Scott, this anniversary version was remastered by Ray Staff, an engineer at Trident Studios where the album was originally recorded.
