Radiohead resumes its worldwide tour next month, but the band’s guitarist Jonny Greenwood has other projects currently charting. His collaboration with Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki made its debut at No. 7 on the United Kingdom’s Official Specialist Classical Chart, NME pointed out.
The diverse duo recorded the classical project, Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima/Popcorn Superhet Receiver/Polymorphia/48 Responses To Polymorphia last year in Poland, and the album features two pieces by each musician. Greenwood’s “Popcorn Superhet Receiver” was also included in his score for There Will Be Blood.
Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima/Popcorn Superhet Receiver/Polymorphia/48 Responses To Polymorphia is now available through Nonesuch. Check out a performance of “48 Responses to Polymorphia” below.
