Newport Folk Festival Announces Lineup

The legendary Newport Folk Festival has announced its lineup for this summer’s weekend event, and it’s shaping up to be another classic affair. My Morning Jacket and Jackson Browne will headline the festival, and Iron & Wine, Patty Griffin, Guthrie Family Reunion, Conor Oberst, Dawes and The Head and the Heart also received high billing.

Other notable acts such as Deer Tick, Punch Brothers, Sharon Van Etten, tUnE-yArDs, Tom Morello, Trampled by Turtles, Alabama Shakes, Blind Pilot, Of Monsters and Men, and the members of the New Multitudes project (Jay Farrar, Will Johnson, Anders Parker and Yim Yames) will perform as well.

Newport Folk Festival takes place at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island July 28-29. Weekend passes cost $135 and are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
