Remastered versions The Beatles’ 1968 animated film and album Yellow Submarine are set for a May 28 release.
On April 26, Candlewick Press will publish a book of the screenplay from the movie in support of the DVD, Blu-Ray and album release.
NME reported the new release team did not use automated software to digitally clean up the film. Instead, they updated the film frame by frame “due to the delicate nature of the hand-drawn original artwork.”
The film will come with a documentary, behind the scenes photographs, audio commentaries and a book by John Lasseter, chief creative officer at Pixar and Disney.
