The dB's Announce New Album, Falling Off the Sky

The dB’s announced today a new album, Falling Off the Sky. The album is their first in three decades that features the band’s original lineup of singer/guitarists Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey, bassist Gene Holder and drummer Will Rigby. The album was produced by the band and is set for a June 12 release on Bar/None Records.

“In some ways, this feels like the record that we could have made between our first and second albums,” Stamey said about the album. “There are, however, fewer angry songs. And more songs about transformation. It’s also the first dB’s album to be recorded primarily in North Carolina, which is something that we’re very proud of.”

The band has also announced several shows at South By Southwest, including our own party, The Stages on Sixth. You can take a look at the dB’s SXSW dates below.
