Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom To Open Cannes

We brought you a first look at the trailer for Wes Anderson’s newest film, Moonrise Kingdom, a month ago. Today we’re happy to report the film will be making its debut appearance at the 65th Cannes Film Festival on May 16.

Anderson always enlists an excellent cast and Moonrise Kingdom is no exception with actors like Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman and Bruce Willis.

Cannes Festival General Delegate Thierry Fremaux said “Wes Anderson is one of the rising powers of American cinema, to which he brings a highly personal touch, particularly in Moonrise Kingdom, which once again is a testimony to the creative freedom in which he continues to evolve.”
